Jaguar Dallas is excited about the launch of the new Jaguar XJR575. In order to celebrate the launch, Jaguar has released a high-speed interview with designer Wayne Burgess, interviews by TV presenter and race driver, Amanda Stretton, as the Jaguar XJR575 accelerates from 0-186 mph.
The interview lasts just 44 seconds. That’s the amount of time it takes for the Jaguar XJR575 to reach top speed.
“I have done plenty of short interviews in my time, but nothing quite like this!” Wayne Burgess, Jaguar Production Studio Director and SVO Projects, said, “It might have been a bit of fun but doesn’t it just demonstrate perfectly the extreme performance of the new XJR575. I could barely finish answering those quick-fire questions before we hit 186 mph and then it was over! Can we go again?”
The Jaguar XJR575 is the new member of the XJ range and has power up from 550PS to 575PS, hence its name. It can accelerate from 0-62 mph in only 4.4 seconds. It comes with Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0-liter V8 supercharge engine that provides 700 Nm of torque.
The Jaguar XJR575 will be available in two exterior color choices, the Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey, with a rear spoiler, side sills, front bumper, and lower air intakes that will feature gloss black surrounds.
“This is a performance vehicle, but that doesn’t mean we have had to cut any corners when it comes to comfort or design,” Ian Callum, Jaguar Director of Design, said. “Jaguar is the standard bearer for interior refinement and the XJR575 is no different. It can go very quickly, but it does so with the serene comfort customers expect from a Jaguar saloon. That makes this a very special car indeed.”
